Country Living, June 2009
I was browsing through June 2009 of Country Living, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. They made it 'all new' and some great new changes. Even the cover looks amazing. Here's some highlights. I'm loving the sharp contrast of the black and white in the bedroom on the cover, and the introduction of splashes of color like the kelly green in the throw pillow and the hydrangeas. Beautiful!
I'm a huge fan of the coastal look, sort of a shabby-chic meets coastal/beachy in a hamptons chic way. I'm not a 'nautical' person. I like the beige and white mix and the look of the shingled hampton's houses. I love the look of these hydrangeas and peonies outside of her house (above). My perfect house probably would be in the hamptons so I could work in NYC and have the hustle and bustle of the city but still be able to go to the hamptons and be near the water, listening to the rain, smelling the hydrangeas, peonies and lilacs, with tea lights and candles everywhere and these comfortable couches from Ikea. They are part of the Ektorp collection and a steal at just $399! I might be moving in August (ahh!) so this would be a great addition to my new apartment if I move.

I love this bathroom, and it gives me great inspiration for a new more mature bathroom. As you know, I've been updating my apartment little by little, especially with the bedspread. And if I move into this new apartment, this is kind of what I would like to do with the new bathroom. I would possibly have a clawfoot tub...so that could be interesting. What are your thoughts? Leave them in the comments!
